The Manggahan Festival is Guimaras Province’s annual thanksgiving and mango harvest celebration, first held in 1993 to mark the province’s anniversary and showcase its agricultural heritage.

Over the years it has grown into a flagship summer event in Western Visayas, blending food, culture, tourism, and community pride in a single island‑wide fiesta.

This festival is celebrated every summer season to promote the burgeoning mango industry of the island and also to attract tourists.

Originally, this was a week-long festivities however it was changed into a month-long event so as to celebrate the island’s rich culture and their feast of thanksgiving for having a prosperous land where the sweetest mangoes are being grown.

One popular highlight of the festival, alongside the vibrant street dancing and various activities, is the Mango-Eat-All-You-Can — a fun challenge where tourists pay a fixed fee to enjoy unlimited mangoes within 30 minutes.
